It’s
time the world answered to a higher power…The Authority!
COUP D’ÉTAT
Everything
in the WildStorm universe is about to collide in the weekly-shipping,
4-part miniseries COUP D’ÉTAT featuring art by
Jim Lee and a host of popular Eye of the Storm creators!
A
who’s-who of fan-favorite creators come together for this landmark crossover
that brings together The Authority, Stormwatch: Team Achilles, Wildcats,
and the villainy of the enigmatic Tao. COUP D’ÉTAT — SLEEPER, by
Ed Brubaker (GOTHAM CENTRAL, CATWOMAN) and featuring art by Jim Lee and
covers by Lee and Lee Bermejo, sets the stage for the drama, as Tao tricks
the U.S. government into committing an interdimensional atrocity on its
own soil. How will the Authority react?
The
action continues in COUP D’ÉTAT — STORMWATCH: TEAM ACHILLES, written
by Micah Ian Wright with art by Carlos D’Anda and covers by D’Anda and
Bermejo. As the Authority begins to dismantle what’s left of the U.S.
government, Stormwatch: Team Achilles is forced underground, where they’re
left to plot the overthrow of a superdictatorship.
In
the penultimate chapter, COUP D’ÉTAT — WILDCATS VERSION 3.0, written
by Joe Casey with art by Alé Garza and Trevor Scott and covers
by Garza and Bermejo, Spartan and Grifter wacth as the United States government
and military are systematically torn apart. How will they react to this
coup, and what are the ramifications for Halo?
It
all culminates in COUP D’ÉTAT — THE AUTHORITY, written by Robbie
Morrison with art by Whilce Portacio and covers by Portacio and Bermejo.
With evidence of the United States’ culpability in the interdimensional
incident, the Authority comes to one conclusion: For good or bad, it's
time they took control. Their “finer world” begins on American soil!
Don’t
miss the crossover event that will redefine the WildStorm universe!
This
project is supported with a full-color promo poster, trade and house ads,
and a minisite at www.wildstorm.com.
COUP
D’ÉTAT is a 4-issue miniseries edited by Scott Dunbier, Ben Abernathy
and Alex Sinclair and is suggested for mature readers. The issues ship
weekly throughout February with a cover price of $2.95 U.S. each.
